MISS UNIVERSE NEPAL announces partnership with IME Pay for 2021 pageant competition

Kathmandu : Miss Universe Nepal (MUN), the official franchise of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) in Nepal, launched its pageant competition for 2021 on the 23rd of September. This year’s event is a short yet power-packed one with the finals taking place on the 30th of October. The Top 50 are already contesting for the crown as the quarter-finals are set to complete on the 10th of November.

IME Pay is the Digital Payment Partner for Miss Universe Nepal 2021, with all voting activities set to take place in their digital wallet app, available in the Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS devices. The pageant experience is equally as important to fans as it is to contestants - we are certain this partnership provides considerable progress in the shared vision of democratizing pageantry in Nepal.

With IME Pay, fans have a popular and widely-used digital payment portal, national and international, to help their favorite contestants progress further in the competition. Like last year, the voting will be averaged alongside judging scores for the Quarter-Finals, however, as we progress the modality changes. • Top 50, Quarterfinals
  • All contestants will be judged based on Task 1 (Swimsuit round) and Task 2 (Judges Interview).
  • Judges’ scores, carrying 50% weightage, will be averaged with the total votes received on IME Pay.
• Semifinals and Finals
  • Voting will start after semifinalists are announced.
  • Voting will continue until the Grand Finale. The semifinalist receiving the highest votes on IME Pay will reserve a spot as the people’s choice in Miss Universe Nepal 2021’s Top 10.
  • On 21st October, the voting for Social Impact Leader, previously known as Brave Bold Beautiful Social Advocacy will also be announced after the Press Presentation. The semifinalist receiving the highest votes on IME Pay for their social advocacy reserves a spot as the Social Impact Leader in Miss Universe Nepal 2021’s Top 10.
