Football and shoes handed over to Rara Team

Kathmandu : Football and shoes have been gifted to the Rara Team, the team of girl football players from Mugu who are back home after participating in the football championship held in Spain.

Nepal director of Kelme, an international company, Uttam Nepal handed over a football and a pair of football boots to the 17 players amidst a programme here today. He said that the Rara Team could not prepare well for the championship in Spain due to the lack of football gear.

Therefore, they were providing the football materials and would continue to support the team if it performs well in future. "We would have played better in Spain had we all the materials before while practicing. Now we have got the support in the form of football and boots. We are encouraged by this and would do our best in matches against foreign players," said Bhagya Laxmi Bham, a team member. Director of Sunkali Documentary Pvt Ltd, Bhojraj Bhat, who facilitated in taking the team to Spain, said the support has motivated the players.

The Rara Team from Nepal played against foreign football clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico, Bilbao etc. in the Donestic Cup International football championship held in Spain few days back. Eight thousand players of 630 groups from around the world participated in the championship. RSS
